Lawrence Sheriff School and Rugby High School work together to offer a wide range of A and AS levels to the prospective Sixth Formers of Rugby and the surrounding area. We seek to combine grammar school traditions with innovative collaboration projects. We welcome academic highfliers alongside diligent students with more modest reasons for taking A levels.
We hope to make learning enjoyable. Nearly half of our Sixth Formers join us from other schools. Most of the Year 11’s at LSS and RHS stay on to do A levels here. Why not talk to us about joining them?

A AND AS LEVELS

This list tells you where each subject is offered.  We hope to run all the courses listed but this will depend on having staff available to teach them and on sufficient students taking up the offer.

Students should have a good academic cross section of GCSE subjects which include some at Grade B or above.  Admissions are agreed by interview with the individual student.  The minimum entry requirement is 40 GCSE points where an A* = 8, an A = 7, a B = 6 etc.  Students must also have a grade C in Maths and at least one C in English at GCSE.  There are also entry requirements for individual subjects which have to be met.  Read the detailed requirements for all of the subjects you are interested in studying at AS and A level.
